Lea Vale Medical Group is a well established practice (over 100 years) within central Luton and currently provides primary medical services for a rich diversity of the Luton population and has a registered list size of 19900 patients across 3 sites: Liverpool Road Health Centre, Farley Medical Centre and Bushmead Medical Centre
We have developed our services using the following approach:
- Assess the health needs of all registered and new patients who register.
- Offer easy access to essential, additional and directly enhanced services
- Have an active Patient Participation Group, work with them to shape present services and new developments, listen and act upon what they tell us
- Keep abreast of current evidence base in the field of primary care and respond accordingly
- Develop and maintain the organisation as a learning environment having a Director of Training and a Training Associate
- Work with others providing related or complimentary services especially social services.
- Build a loyal & engaged team of clinicians and administrative staff and value their contribution
We provide a comprehensive range of Directed Enhanced Services and Local Enhanced Services for our registered patients across the 3 sites. In addition we provide Local Enhanced Services for all Luton patients diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and Women’s health services including the fitting of Intrauterine Services (IUD) and other sexual health services
